CRB Check - Process
In order to obtain a CRB check through BS Social Care and BS
Home Care, candidates must:
- Complete an application form at their local branch
- Provide proof of identification - 1 photographic form and 1 paper form
- Provide a utility bill, so that their address can be checked against it
- Provide addresses covering the last 5 years
- Provide their National Insurance number
An authorised countersignatory, who is usually the Branch
Manager, will then endorse and sign the application and the
form will be sent to the CRB for processing.
This process is currently taking 4 weeks, but for the latest
information please refer to
www.crb.gov.uk.
Two copies of the CRB check are then sent out, one to the
local branch and one to the candidate.
Due to recent legislation, all relevant protection lists will
be checked, depending upon the position the candidate applies for.
