Why do BS Social Care and BS Home Care insist on an Enhanced CRB Disclosure Check?

In total, there are 3 different checks available; the basic, the standard and the enhanced.  The standard CRB check is for general contact with children or vulnerable adults.  The enhanced CRB check is for those who have a much greater contact with children and vulnerable adults, including Social Workers, Nurses, Care Managers, etc.

Due to the various positions that BS Social Care and BS Home Care recruit for and in keeping with our provision of a high quality, professional service, we insist that all candidates must have an enhanced check.  This enables a safe service to be provided and allows our candidates to work in a much wider range of establishments.

How long is my CRB valid for?

Our policy is to request that a CRB check should be taken every year in order to ensure that all details available are current and accurate.
