Overview of Reference Requirements

• A minimum of references are sourced

• References must cover a period of three years (five years for children's workers)

• References will only be sourced from the most formal level of contact within an organisation

• All gaps in employment history and periods of unemployment of three months or longer will be verified in writing

• All establishments will be checked verbally and, where necessary, confirmation will be sourced from registration

• No form of personal reference will be accepted
