Interview

The interview is well planned and designed to meet the needs of each specific job role.  Those conducting interviews use proven interview techniques ensuring that the interview remains focused.

Evidence is obtained to measure key competencies required in the job through pre-determined questions and assessment.  The technique used is as follows:

  • Plan - the most appropriate interview structure - one to one, two to one, panel or assessment centre style

  • Prepare - focused interview questions, assessments, medical and key measurements required for the position

  • Probe - any key areas identified from the application form and pre-screening exercise.  Probe reasons for leaving particularly those involving employment with children or vulnerable groups and any gaps in employment

  • Record - all key information for future analysis
