Employer Zone - The BS Social Care Recruitment Process (Cont.)

Vetting

The most important part of the recruitment process is to validate the candidate's claims and minimise any potential risk.  No candidate is engaged until all recruitment and vetting procedures have been completed satisfactorily.

  • References - written work references are sought in line with the Care Standards Act and current legislation

  • Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check - is processed

  • Medical checklist - is completed

  • Induction - an induction is put in place

Appointments

All of the applicant's details, assessment and references are considered carefully before a decision is made.  Any area of doubt is referred to a more senior member of staff for comment.  No candidate is included on our register until all the vetting procedures are completed satisfactorily and meet all the current industry and legal requirements.
