Accommodation Services Team Manager

Full Time
£28,000 + Generous on call allowance

We are working in partnership with a wonderful organisation based in Cardiff who provides support and works to eradicate violence against women and girls and to support survivors.


This role is a full time position working 35 hours a week flexibly between Monday and Sunday plus on call duties.


Within this role you would be working across the accommodation sites in Cardiff to ensure that they are staffed 24/7 and that there are adequate staffing levels across all refuge sites. You will also promote and support effective team working through good communication and regular team meetings.


You will ensure all women, children and young people coming into the emergency accommodations are allocated an IPA to support them throughout their journey, and continue to receive immediate support 1:1 sessions.


Develop and maintain strong partnership working with local authorities and other supported housing providers. Maintain a maximization of housing benefit payments, service charges and other financial costs.


You will facilitate staff development, including mentoring, delivering training and facilitating regular team meetings. You will also support colleagues and partner agencies through awareness raising and providing the best possible service for all service users.


You will take responsibility for the team rota, monitor absence, plan and arrange short term/emergency cover and annual and sick leave.

The skills and experience that we are looking for;

  • Leadership and management skills
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to write reports.
  • Experience of managing supported accommodations settings
  • Experience of developing relationships with partner agencies
  • Experience and the ability to manage a caseload
  • Hold a CAADA/SafeLives IDVA certificate, or relevant degree, or demonstratable equivalent experience
  • Be flexible to work between Monday and Friday with on-call duties
  • Driver with access to a car
