Job Description

Brook Street are delighted to be working with our Dundee based client who are looking to expand their team due to continual sustained Organic growth. They seek to add an experienced Senior Accounts Assistant to their already busy and extremely successful team of Account Assistants.

You will work alongside a team of Chartered Accountants, Junior Accountants, Senior Accounts Assistants as well as Junior Accounts Assistants also. It is imperative that you are a real team player who is not afraid to role their sleeves up and get involved with whatever tasks may be put your way each day. From time to time you may be asked to help in other departments depending on the need of the business, so flexibility and a great attitude are paramount to our client.

You will be a key member of the finance team who are responsible for the finalisation of month-end and year-end accounts. You will help provide support to the senior Accountants and wider finance team by helping to prepare financial statements, accounts, budgets, processing invoices and preparing VAT returns.


As a Senior Accounts Assistant, you will have great Technical ability, be adapt with Cloud Accounting Software`s such as Xero and QuickBooks and have excellent client interfacing skills.

Working on accountancy assignments, successful applicants must be comfortable with preparing accounts for a mixed portfolio of clients. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate advanced accounts preparation skills and have worked within a professional Accountancy firm with a minimum of 18-24 months experience in a Practice environment.

Ideally you will be working towards some sort of qualification such as ACCA, ICAS or advanced AAT, support is offered with studies with dedicated time set aside and a wealth of knowledge within the business to pull from.
