Brook Street are delighted to be recruiting for a Client in Milton Keynes looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant on a Temporary Basis.

You will be entering the role on a temporary basis; however, this may potentially go to permanent.

Salary: £12.89 per hour

About the role:

As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be expected to liaise with all departments across the company to ensure the quality and accuracy of information is provided for the invoice processing and the payment authorisations. You will also have direct contact with suppliers and directly with their inhouse departments to ensure that all account balances are within the timeframe and not aged. There will direct contact with all employees, all levels of management and the board concerning expense claims and regardless of the level, the Accounts Payable Specialist will reject claims if they are out of policy.

What skills and experience will you need?

In order to be an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will need to be confident in rejecting business owners the set-up of a new supplier where the company law validation checked are not met, you will be able to identify that the correct VAT code has been provided on payment requests and confidence to challenge the specialist business owner and reject accordingly.

They do prefer experience within the Accounts Payable and AAT qualified or part qualified, however these are not desirable.
