Job Description

Admin Team Manager

£15.97 per hour

Monday to Friday 9-5

11 months temporary assignment with a possible extension

Working directly to the Deputy Business Manager, the main purpose of the role is to provide support to the Litigation Group's senior management team in the delivery of its core business objectives by providing effective management and leadership.

In addition to the management and development responsibilities involved, the work will include taking responsibility for:

  • Lead and develop an efficient, effective, flexible and motivated team

  • Support the SLT in delivering the programme of works within the "CAT" workstream of the Organisational Design programme, including on-boarding of relevant teams

  • Make suggestions for, and assist with, performance management initiatives e.g. benchmarking, sharing best practice, continuous improvement

  • Act as a key source of knowledge and support to the Head on business management issues related to CAT

  • Align resources to the team's budget and plans

  • Line management responsibilities for 2 x EOs and counter signing for all AOs

  • Ensure that risks to delivery of team's business aims, objectives and priorities are identified and managed, ensuring that team members are clear on their role in terms of what is expected of them and delivery of work

  • Work in partnership with clients and stakeholders to raise the profile of the team and the work undertaken, embedding the new ways of working

  • To lead on the provision of MI to Team leaders and Head of Division in relation to new work received by the teams, forecasting future volumes from data gathered and analysing trends

  • As required, assisting the management team on specific "projects"

  • Advanced detailed knowledge of CMS (Case management system) and any updates to it that may impact the CAT

  • Ensure delivery of CATA services as per agreed SLA's

  • Advanced analytical skills along with use of process flow evaluation techniques

  • Facilitate effective working of the CAT team, ensuring flexibility and adherence to set standards and governance

  • Staff development with plans for upskilling and development of the team

  • Negotiate and ensure adequate provision of other local issues such as IT, security clearance and accommodation

  • Lead on and effectively deliver ad-hoc projects to time, cost and quality criteria

  • Manage and lead on internal controls and other forms of assurance to ensure effective functioning of the team

  • Build excellent relationships with individuals and teams, to support the delivery of Divisional priorities

  • Regularly review procedures and systems with team to identify improvements and simplify processes and decision making

  • Continually communicate with staff, helping to clarify goals and activities and the links between these and Departmental strategy

  • Support EOs with on-boarding new joiners

  • Staff bonuses
