Job Description

** Care Team Leader **
** Northampton, Northamptonshire **
** Permanent and full time **
** £18,720 - £20,488 **
** 40 hours per week working between 7:30am till 10:15pm **
** 45p per mile mileage allowance **
** Working with children and adults with Autism **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Team Leader for a medium sized care company working with adults with Autism within a outreach and out in the community environment. This is a full time and permanent role working between the hours of 7.30am - 10.15pm across the 7 days of the week working every other weekend.

About the employer; this care company is 6 years old and they are medium sized. They work with adults with Autism on all different levels of complexity. Head office is based in the Northampton area but service users are within surrounding areas such as; Northampton, Kettering, Rushen and more.

About the job; this role has been designed to support individuals across the Autism spectrum with a wide range of needs and may also have other medical needs such as Epilepsy. The aim of this role is to support Support Workers and assist the Manager in the effective running of the service and assume delegated responsibilities such as promoting development of staff through training, and regular supervisions. While leading by example with the support provided with person centred planning at its core. Each of the organisations clients are unique and their needs all differ and this may include help with day to day tasks, taking medication, personal care, accessing the community, and seeking employment opportunities. This is in an overview of the role and is not an exhaustive list of the duties. There are other activities that will fall within a reasonable scope of the role and over time this may be subject to change and may evolve depending the people we support.

About the ideal candidate; ideally you will have previous experience in a care setting of at least 3 years within the last 3 years, previous experience managing staff of at least 1 year within the last year, hold at the least a NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care, hold experience working with individuals with autistic spectrum disorders, hold a driving licence and have been involved in a on call rota or similar out of hours support.

For this full time and permanent role, we are offering £18,720 - £20,488 alongside 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), sleep in allowance, 45p per mile mileage allowance, workplace pension scheme, recommend a friend scheme, cycle to work scheme, quarterly staff recognition awards and opportunities to complete related qualifications.
