Children and Young Persons Assessment Worker
Full Time
Cardiff

We are working with a wonderful organisation, who are recruiting for an assessment worker for the children and young persons referrals.
The role provides high quality assessment for parents, children, and young persons who have experienced domestic violence either directly or indirectly, and refer onto the appropriate support prevision within the team.


The duties of the role include:
Respond to all referrals, and signpost to other agencies where appropriate to arrange assessments
Identify and assess the risks and needs of children who have witnessed and/or experienced domestic and sexual abuse.
Refer to the waiting list of the appropriate provision within the team
Maintain regular contact with the parents of the children who are on the waiting list.
Maintain accurate and confidential case management records.
Attend meetings as and when necessary
Contribute to the Annual Report

What we are looking for:
Understand child protection issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding
Experience working with vulnerable children and young people
Excellent advisory skills, both written and verbal
