Job Description

Are you a Senior Support Worker looking to step up to Deputy Manager within Learning Disabilities, or are you an experienced Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge? If so, look no further, I have a exciting opportunity in the Boston Spa area.

You will be responsible for the scheme in the absence of the Manager including line management responsibilities. You will be responsible for promoting all aspects of service user independence, care and wellbeing whilst maintaining their health and safety in line with assessments, support plans and legislative frameworks.

Personal qualities include: being knowledgeable of health and social care sector, being innovative, enthusiastic, having good interpersonal and communication skills and a positive attitude. You will be able to lead a team of staff and will always demonstrate high standards. In addition you will be comfortable using your own initiative, taking ownership of tasks and be able to prioritise work and deal with work pressures.

The Assistant Manager will be supported with a full induction and all mandatory training, monthly 1-1`s and ongoing personal development. You will hold a level 2 in health and social care or working towards completion of diploma or the equivalent management qualification, although a level 2 in health and social care or equivalent is desirable. You must have experience of managing and supporting staff.

This job is a full time position with a salary of £20,584 (39 hours per week - £10.15 per hour) This doesn`t include any additional payments for sleep-ins and overtime. The hours are to be worked to the needs of the business.
