Looking for a bit of extra work to fit around a busy life? Part time hours the perfect fit? Or are you nocturnal, and prefer to work at night?

I am working with an admirable service in Milton Keynes and they need some one to help them out 2 nights a week until September time

Oh and did I mention that they are looking for an asap start? So if you are really keen to get back into work, this could be a great option.

This service provides accommodation and support for young parents with no where else to turn. They come from all sorts of backgrounds and all of them work with a Social Worker. The service has mostly got young mothers and babies in the service, but they also work with young fathers and babies.

The night shifts is all about safeguarding the parents and babies. you must make sure you know where everyone is when you get on shift and that you log everyone who leaves the building and where they have said they are going.

You will be expected to help out with the maintenance of the building, following a rota of the rooms that are cleaned each day (kitchen, bathrooms, hallway, communal space) however the needs of the residents comes first. They are looking for someone that is able to build rapport with this young people, help build their confidence and be a listening ear when they need to talk about things,

I need someone that has the ability to communicate really effectively with both the staff and the young people. I need someone who has some understanding or experience in leaving detailed handovers and is confident using computers.

You will need to have a minimum of 12 months experience working in care, with experience working with children that we are able to reference.

Ideally you will have a DBS registered to the online update service, however don`t worry if you don`t as I can help you apply for one.
