Our client based in the Berkhamsted area is looking for a Café Manager who can build on and continue the current success working in the beautiful stately home which is set in an such an idyllic setting.

You will lead the Cafe through a time of significant investment and growth. As the Cafe Manager, you will manage and train a team of assistants - from Barista training to customer service training. You would be working in a beautiful artisan Café serving delicious food and drink to guests every day of the week, complimented by the Storehouse which offers some of the best and most unique products for guests to purchase.

Your day to day duties will include creating procedures and training plans and be the "go to person", provide guests with an unrivalled experience and create memorable experiences, identify and introduce new ideas to enhance the offering and change the offer seasonally. You will also handle any gust problems or complaints in a professional and hospitable manner and ensure they are resolved, and learning are gathered. You will also have an understanding of business and finance acumen and you will present the sales numbers weekly and have an understanding of margins and sales tactics to ensure growth. You will regularly review the offering and place orders and manage stock levels.

The ideal candidate will be a lover of great food and service, be a positive person who loves to engage with all types of guests, thrive in a team environment and have the ability to provide constructive feedback and training within a team. The ideal candidate will also listen to guests and the team to understand client requirements and trends and adapt the offer accordingly working with the key stakeholders, be used to thinking on your feet and remaining calm under pressure.

In return the company offer a very competitive salary between £28,000-£30,000 per annum. This role is a full time role and you will need to be flexible and have the ability to work shift patterns including regular weekends and adapt with the needs of the business
