Customer Service Advisor
Glasgow
Temporary ( approx. 6 months)
£10.81ph
Full Time

Exciting opportunity with our Public Sector client , Brook Street is recruiting a team to support and collaborate with the security vetting team. This role is an admin and telephone-based role, where we are seeking individuals with strong communication skills to join our client's team. You will be the initial point of contact and the voice for UKSV - you will be responsible for assisting our customers and applicants with their vetting queries over a variety of different channels and be our first point of contact for any customer queries.

Core day to day duties

Supporting with UK Security Vetting team with interviews and queries
Production of high quality reports generated from interviews
Handling any initial customer escalations
Assessing/analysing enquiries in the form of a written recommendation/decision about how to proceed
Management of your own work queues for each of the above areas
Administrative support to resourcing and coordination of training for delivery

Key Skills/Experience

You will need to be curious and inquisitive, probing for information where appropriate to understand an individual`s behaviour and reasoning in certain situations
Ability to quickly create a safe environment, building good rapport with interviewees to enable confidential and sensitive information to be shared
Be professional at all times reflecting integrity and honesty with customers and interviewees alike
Ability to work independently, self-motivated and organised, with a high level of resilience
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written
Working Knowledge of Google Workspace/Microsoft Office and strong data processing skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Attention to detail and discretion are essential. Confidentiality is paramount in safeguarding the personal information being processed
Ability to plan, manage and coordinate resourcing and training schedules.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience in a customer facing environment
Previous experience interviewing
Previous experience in the personnel security environment and risk identification
Previous experience of case management and analysis
Previous experience of report writing
Previous experience supporting resourcing and training coordination

All workers will be required to provide 3 years of references and be subject to a Disclosure and Security clearance.
