Job Description

** Care Area Manager **
** 12 month contract **
** Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and East Anglia **
** £50,000 **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Care Area Manager which will be home-based, with travel regionally within the area which covers Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Hertfordshire and East Anglia. We are currently looking for an Care Area Manager to join our team on an initial 12 month basis. There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dedicated and senior professional manager to lead our adult and community services in the Central region.

About the employer; this employer is a UK charity for autistic people. They change attitudes by improving public understanding of autism and the difficulties many autistic people face. They also work closely with businesses, local authorities and government to help them provide more autism-friendly spaces, deliver better services and improve laws.

About the job; The successful candidate will support and lead on the delivery of high quality care in a range of settings including, registered homes, supported living schemes, community projects, outreach and day opportunities.

You will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of regional strategies to deliver the wider organisational goals at local level. You must be qualified at least degree level or equivalent and demonstrate an ability to achieve a relevant qualification in autism. You should have demonstrated success in managing the delivery of care and support for vulnerable adults, preferably adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, across more than one site and will have a good knowledge of the legislation and inspection systems governing the provision of care for vulnerable adults.

Substantial experience of managing services for adults in the community.
A track record of success in developing services in a changing environment.
A track record of success in developing and delivering new care services.
Experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing staff.
Experience of successfully managing resources including sound budgeting skills.
Proven experience of working collaboratively with stakeholders.
A track record of success in promoting anti-discriminatory working practices
Management Experience
Degree or Diploma in a relevant field. (Care, Social Work, Allied Health profession) or a relevant management/professional qualification.

This is a 12 month contract initially. This role will offer £50,000.
