Care Co-ordinator/ Team Leader

Trafford Area

£18,000-£23,000 depending on experience

37.5 hours a week 9am-5pm

My client is currently recruiting for a care co-ordinator/team leader to join their expanding team in the Trafford area of Manchester. This is an exciting and dynamic role whereby you will be at the forefront of delivery high quality domiciliary care in the community.

The service provides domiciliary care to the elderly. You will be responsible for ensuring the co-ordination of care assistants including their rotas, ensuring shifts are filled and all training is completed. You will be doing rotas, risk assessments and providing assistance to the management team in the form of administration and appraisals and interviews.

As part of your role you will be driving the service forward by picking up new care packages and clients and ensuring the quality of current care is the highest it can be!

You must be proactive, a great communicator and be a driver with access to your own vehicle. You must also have a minimum of 2 years' managerial or team leading experience in the healthcare sector. It would be beneficial if you had level 3 in health and social care but do not worry if you don't - this amazing company will pay for all your qualifications and even help you progress towards becoming a registered manager if that is your goal!!!

It would be an advantage if you have had hands-on care experience and had experience leading a team of carers/support staff. This can be in the form of senior carer or former care co-ordinator but you must have some form of leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will be organised, know how to problem solve and prioritise a workload. You will be calm under pressure and love meeting new people. You will be meeting new clients and new service users so it is essential that you are a good communicator and listener and be people and care focused!
