Job Description
Title: Deputy Manager
Salary: £13.50 - £14.18 per hr (Weekdays) & £14.85 - £16.37 per hr (Weekends)
Location: Cheltenham
Contract Type: Permanent (37 hour per week) + Expected to work some Evenings & Weekends
Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity as Deputy Manager?
About the Role:
You will be supporting the Manager in the running of the residence. Your role will be to ensure the highest standards of care are provided to students. This involves encouraging personal independence of students, ensuring College Quality Standards are promoted & maintaining student health and safety through communication with medical & therapy teams.
The role requires you to lead by example by actively promoting positive behaviour within the student group, liaising with medical & other professionals to address issues that arise.
You will be expected to step in during the Manager`s absence working some weekends and evenings.
The job requires a duty of care in supporting staff & monitoring individual targets of student progress. In addition, you will be tasked with effective communication with stakeholders & ensuring all team members uphold excellent standards of care through staff appraisals & formal supervision.
To carry out pre assessments of potential new students. Administering medication & the highest standards of care including personal care in line with College & Statutory procedures.
Experience:
Required
- Minimum of 1 year in care management (Or staff management)
- Minimum of 2 years` experience in Residential care
- Relevant qualification at level 3 or above in health or social care
Desirable
- Recognized management qualification
- Experience with brain injury, physical disabilities & learning difficulties
- Experience of working in an educational setting
- Experience of budget & rota management
- Driving License
