Job Description

Role - Children's Residential Care Manager
Location - Ebbw Vale
Salary £34000-£37000 per annum

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a proven Children`s Home Registered Manager in Ebbw vale, near the beautiful Brecon Beacons national park. You must have demonstrable leadership/management skills who is passionate about children and can take staff on journey with them. Leading by best practice standards...

You will be responsible for leading and managing the child care services delivered within the home in line with our company policy standards and those of the Care Council for Wales, and RISCA Regulations.

The expectation is to lead and manage a professional, integrated, ethical and inclusive service which meets the needs of individual children placed in our care, safeguards and promotes well-being and development of our service users and staff team.

Your role will be to undertake and contribute to a range of tasks to ensure safe and effective, service delivery. Working with the Operations Director in contributing to strategic and business planning, service development and innovation, marketing, policy development, managing budgets and resources, governance, annual reviews, and performance management tasks. Ensuring that there is evidence of continuous improvement and positive outcomes for the children placed in our care. You are accountable for maintaining professional standards and the quality of work in these areas. As a registered manager you will ensure that the care home secures a good reputation within our market sector. That placing authorities are aware of our service provision & that the care home provides and actively promotes forthcoming vacancies.

You should actively contribute to identifying the appropriate type and level of resources required to deliver quality, safe and effective services as well as promoting a homely environment that engages both staff and young people in contributing to its upkeep and development. You will ensure the wellbeing and healthy living promotes children`s emotional, physical and dietary needs are being met. You will be responsible for managing a budget and usage of excel spread sheets making sure the funds are used for the purpose for which they were intended; you are responsible for keeping clear and accurate financial records.
