Job Description

Role: Service Manager
Location: Taunton
Salary: £30,514 (negotiable)
Contract: Full time 12 month perm contract

Transform lives, by becoming a Service Manager. You`ll lead a team to make everyday special for the people who your team support and giving your team the tools to maximise their ability.

You`ll be reporting to the Area Operations Manager you will be responsible for ensuring positive outcomes are achieved for the people you`ll be supporting.

Key to the role will be cultivating a positive team culture, ensuring your service is a great place to work, acting as a role model and demonstrating good practice to other members of the team. You`ll do this by to demonstrating the key values of this organisation Inclusive, Trustworthy, Caring, Challenge and Positive.

You`ll be responsible for proactively managing and developing your team, the quality of the service, the rota, and the budget.

You will have experience in management of a similar setting within the care sector and be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour routines.

Your day to day duties will include
Work with the people living in the service and the team to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Taking ownership on tasks and being solution focused at all times.
Managing the staff rota.
Monitor the quality of the service, ensuring it is fully compliant.
Be an exemplary role model for the team and ensure their continuous development to ensure high standards are continuously met. Though clear communication and ensuring relationships with customer, staff, volunteers, and other key stakeholders.

What we`re looking for
- You`ll need to have experience knowledge and experience working with adults with learning disabilities
- Level 5 in social care/management or equivalent,
- The ability to work flexibly over a 7 day period.
- Taking part in on the on call rota and have flexibility to work in different locations.
- The skills to lead and motivate others, work as part of a team and strive for excellence
- Be reliable and committed to delivering best practice and have excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills
