Job Description

I am working with a reputable, respected organisation to recruit a team leader with a proven background in elderly, dementia care and support, on an initial fixed term 12-month period for a large state of the art care home for older adults and people living with dementia in the Dudley Borough.

This service has great access either by public transport or your own vehicle, from Birmingham, Dudley and Wolverhampton and will provide high quality care to its residents.

You will join an organisation that invests heavily in staff and service development and has secured recognition nationally for their work and support.

Working closely with an established management team, you will be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the service. Care and support planning, report writing and liaising with external agencies will form part of your role. You will also be committed to delivering high quality personal care and support, promoting independence and maintaining a warm, homely environment.

As part of the team leader role, you will be required to manage and lead your team effectively, mentor and deliver training where required. Flexibility to work a varied shift pattern, including some anti-social hours is essential.

The ideal candidate will be a committed, motivated and compassionate individual who can demonstrate a significant background within a supervisory role within elderly residential care settings. You will be committed to leading by example and the delivery of high-quality care and support. Extensive knowledge and experience of dementia care and support are essential for this role.

To apply for this vacancy, you will hold a minimum of QCF level 3 in health and social care and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Up to date medication training is desirable.

You will already be employed in a similar role and be confident in working within a large purpose-built residential setting. This vacancy would suit a skilled deputy who is looking to move into a larger service as a team leader or a skilled team leader who is seeking the move into a new setting.

This exciting role is offering a highly competitive salary of £26000. In addition, you will also receive a generous annual leave allowance, defined pension contributions and other exciting benefits.

This vacancy will not be around for long, so I am looking to arrange interviews for interested candidates without further delay.
