Job Description

One of the largest Children Services are now recruiting for Residential Support Worker for their 3 bed home in Bridgwater, Somerset. You will be supporting 7 - 18 year olds who mainly have EBD, traumatic / neglected backgrounds, learning disabilities, mental health, ASD, ADHD, self-harm and who will be verbally challenging.

Main Job Role:
- This is a professional parental role offering therapeutic / emotional support
- Work together in a team to help get them up in the mornings to putting them to bed at night
- Get involved in preparing & helping them with meals (breakfast, dinner and lunch)
- Support them out in the community
- Get stuck in with their daily 121 / group activities - bowling, going for a walk, education activities...
- No personal care

Qualifying candidates:
- Have experience working with 7 - 18 year olds in care
- Must be a car driver with your own car
- You must be 21 years old or over
- To get the higher end of the salary, you MUST have a qualification to work in children residential care home. We accept the following qualifications: Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 3 in:
* Children & Young People`s Workforce
* Health & Social Care in Children
* Health & Social Care in Social Care Pathway
* Caring for Children & Young People
* Residential Childcare
WE DO NOT accept Health and Social Care in Adults.

Contract / Terms:
- Salary including sleeps is £23,581 - £24,777 per annum = £8.25 - £8.75 an hour
- Sleep-ins are paid at £62.64 per sleep = £7,516.80 per annum
- You will work 9/10 shifts per month of 2 days on and 4 days off
- Shifts are 7:30am - 10:30pm (sleep) 7am - 7:30am/8am
