Job Description

You will be working in a Children's residential home which for 6 children which is based in the rural village of Delph. The service is home to children that may need short to medium care away from their family. This could be due to learning, emotional, behavioural and social needs.

You will be working at their home to provide support with every day life, emotional support, setting routines and supporting with their education needs. Whilst the children are here this is their home so it is really important to create a caring and safe environment for them as the young people may have a history of going missing from home or being vulnerable.

You must have experience with children so you can start providing the very best care straight away. You will need to be a driver due to the location and you will be using the house car to take the young people out in the community or on the school run.

This role isn't a 9-5 role as this home is never closed. The children need support 24/7 so that is why it is really important you are available to cover a variety of shifts.

Ideally have Level 3 in Young People, not essential as after a 6 month probation you will be put on the course!

£8.21 per hour - 42 hours a week - £78 per sleep
