Job Description

** Childrens Service Manager **
** Welford, Northamptonshire **
** Up to £40,000 plus bonus potential and £8k relocation package available. Bonus of £5,000 welcome bonus to all new managers + bonuses that can be earned 3 times a year **

BS Social Care is currently working with a large childrens service to enable them to fill their Welford, Northamptonshire Service Manager. The organisation has a long history in child protection and their years of experience have shown that high quality therapeutic childcare helps children and young people learn to deal with their past experiences and prepare for the future. Vulnerable children and young people who have experienced trauma through significant abuse deserve the very best help to put their lives back on track. The company is committed to providing the quality of care that will accomplish this. Their residential care is for 5 to 18 year olds, and their focus is centred on the needs of the child.

About the job; the Service Manager is accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people resident within the home. This means that they are responsible for delivery of
all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all
day to day management matters.

About the ideal candidate; Service Managers must achieve or hold the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People's Residential Management) qualification within three years of the date they started employment. Desirable - Diploma in Social Work Post Qualifying Award D32/33 or A1 Assessor Award. Essential - Residential childcare (5 years minimum), child protection experience, supervision of staff experience, desirable - social work management, therapeutic work experience, advocacy experience, essential - enthusiastic disposition, committed to achieving best outcomes for children, flexible in achieving objectives, demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal development, proactive and solution focussed, desirable - creative.

This is a full time and permanent role offering a salary of up to £40,000 alongside a £8k relocation package and a £5,000 welcome bonus which can also be earnt 3 times more per year.
