Do you have a level 3 in health and social care children's and young people or childcare? Have you experience in providing care to children? Do you drive and hold a valid UK driving licence? Do you want to work for a leading care company whereby you love going to work and don't want to leave? If so we want to hear from you!

This is a full-time role looking after children with Learning disabilities in their homes in the Sale area of Manchester. If you have had experience looking after young people either professionally or personally this is the ideal role for you! You must have a relevant childcare qualification or health and social care in children's and young people to level 3 standard. You must be a driver and willing to provide care in their homes.

You will play a vital role in providing respite to the parents or carers of children with learning disabilities, some may even have physical disabilities also so some personal care may be needed. You will help with the feeding, cleaning, and spending time with the service user to ensure they have fun and receiving the best quality care. You may also be taking them out on trips to the cinema or bowling or sports activities that promote well-being. No two days will be the same and this is such a rewarding role.

We are looking for an active and pro-active person that is not afraid to get their hands dirty and has a real passion for children and learning disabilities. The children are aged between 5-11 and there is an expectation to work every other Saturday in the junior's club which every Saturday for children to come and have fun and make friends whilst parents and carers have a rest. This service is invaluable to the parents and the service users and is growing hugely by popular demand, your work will be contributing to many young service users feeling loved, valued and having fun and making friends.

Whilst every other Saturday is set in stone, the other shifts will be on a rota basis and you may have to work the very occasional night and sleeps are paid separately but this is very rare. We are looking for someone who is ideally medication trained and epilepsy trained but training will be given for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who will put the service user and service first and will be willing to work flexibly and is positive, caring and will look to provide the best quality care. We look for character as much as competence so if you have had experience in caring for children with mental health or physical disabilities or in a domiciliary role please feel free to apply if you feel your skills can be transferred. You must also have good written English and Maths and can use basic IT packages when report writing.

In return for your dedication and hard-work you will receive a generous salary, pension scheme, full training and second to none progression routes, cycle to work scheme, free parking and more!

This opportunity will not be around long and interviews are happening fast so please apply online today or call Han on 0161 228 6168 or email to discuss this further!
