BS Social Care are recruiting for a Children`s Home Manager for the Banbury area in Oxfordshire for a permanent and full-time role working Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm with some flexibility needed.
About the employer; this employer is a well-known and large organisation working with looked after children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This service is a 5 bedded home for males and females providing a safe and nurturing environment.
About the job; this role is looking for a strong and dedicated candidate who is able to work closely with both the children and young people and the staff. You will be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day running (in line with National Minimum Standards and Children`s Homes Regulations) of the children`s home including promoting the safeguarding of young people`s welfare. Participate in the on-call roster in support of the children`s home. Liaise with other departments and external agencies to ensure that the young people receive appropriate plans, programmes and support in the home to aid their rehabilitation into the community and to meet contractual requirements. Coach, support and develop staff manage and control budgets
About the ideal candidate; for this role, you will hold a professional social work qualification/degree or QCF Level 5 or working towards. You will hold managerial experience within a similar environment alongside 2 year`s residential care experience and a full driving licence. We are looking for candidates that have a passion for giving great care and able to take each day as it comes and ensuring the service users are at the heart of the home.
This is a full time and permanent Children Homes Manager role working Monday - Friday; 9am - 5pm and offers £36,384 - £41,545 alongside a number of benefits such as being eligible for the Home Managers bonus scheme which offers an earning potential of up to £12,000 per annum.
