BS Social Care are currently recruiting for an experienced, caring and committed Children's Residential Social Worker to join a fantastic team. The Children's Residential Social Worker provides and models excellent practice in direct care, and will support, guide, and nurture the staff team to provide the highest level of care to the children in the service. This role is also central to robust care planning and assessment within the service, and in building and maintaining relationships with their colleagues in Children's Social Care.

The service is staffed 24 hours per day by a dedicated team working on a shift basis. The children and young people can live with us until they move into adult accommodation, and therefore it is essential that the service feels like home. The home is a nurturing, caring, and safe home for six children and young people aged between 5 and 18 years. They support them to grow and learn and to develop their skills, confidence, and independence. The children living at the home have different learning, physical and emotional needs. Some children have high level complex needs, including health and social needs and behaviours that can challenge. The vision is to build happy and healthy childhoods and support every child to thrive.

About the job; as a Children's Residential Social Worker, you will work closely with the Registered Manager and Team Managers to devise and maintain care plans and strategies around each child, and support all the children to live fun, healthy, and active lives. To be successful in this role you will.

About the ideal candidate; you will hold a current Social Work registration and ideally hold a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent Level 3 Qualification in Health and Social Care, Childcare, or similar. If you are looking to develop your skills, willingness to complete a level 3 qualification whilst working at the service will be required. Successful candidates will have a range of skills and abilities relating to the care of children and young people.

You will enjoy the challenges and rewards of working with children and young people with additional needs. Have recent social work experience, ideally in a residential or similar children's setting. Have excellent care planning and assessment skills. Share our commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed home for the children and young people who live with us. Have a sound knowledge of safeguarding.

This is a full time and permanent role paying a starting salary of £35,000. You will be offered an intense induction followed by consistent training and supervisions. Progression is offered and supported. Qualifications are also paid for and more company perks.
