We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Support worker to join a team based in Salford (M6) in a 3 bedded Children residential service. The service supports Children and Young People with Emotional and Behavioural needs.

You will be joining a reputable and caring organisation that works closely with the children and young people accessing their services to enable them to fulfil their full potential. Their services are cosy, homely and safe and support is individualised to meet the specific needs, dreams and goals of each young person.

Your role as a senior will be to support both the team and the young people. You will be joining a small but very passionate team where you will be responsible for helping the young people feel safe and at home. You will support the young people to access education and to be involved in activities and hobbies whilst getting to know the young people, so you can understand their emotional needs. You will also be supporting the team which may include supervisions, training and some office-based work.

You will ideally be an experienced support worker that has worked in a residential service before. As this is a senior role you will need to have completed your Level 3 in Children and Young People workforce. You will need to be a fun and kind person that wants to make a difference to the young people. You will need to be a driver as you may be taking the young people to school or out to do activities and hobbies on evening and weekends.

You will be working 10 shifts a month which are always 24 hours long. These shifts include sleeps and will be worked in a 2 on 4 off shift pattern. The salary role this role is £20,880 - £23,160 per year which could vary depending on number of shifts worked and sleeps.
