Children`s support worker
Stourbridge
Temporary / Permanent / Contract
£10 per hour + holiday pay + pension contributions

This post involves working in a residential school for children with learning disabilities. There are 10 units altogether and many of the children are on the autistic spectrum and display behaviour of a challenging behaviour.
This is a residential school, set in beautiful countryside - applicants must be a car driver.

The school has about 8 residential units, which are age specific - some are boys and some are girls, aged 12 to 19.

The aim is to work with children and young people to support them in all aspects of their care, working towards agreed targets which are set to focus the personal development of children in areas which present barriers.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of six months practical experience within the care sector, as well as:
o Experience in children`s residential care
o Shift leading
o Mandatory training

Being a driver with access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential.
