I am currently working with a fantastic organsation that specialises in delivering homes, services and innovation for up to 8,000 people in over 3,400 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands.

They are looking to add to their award-winning team and add more community care workers, on flexible contracts that start from 4-hour contracts and go up to 42 hours. You have the choice to make your role fit around you and your commitments. You will be required to support those in their own homes out in the community and at supported living sites.

We are looking for people that can be enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, compassionate, dedicated and wanting to make a difference for people with learning disabilities

Key responsibilities of the role will be;

o Monitor customers health and wellbeing, record and report any changes to relevant internal and external bodies
o Understand and act upon any safeguarding concerns
o Support customers with life skills (including financial budgeting, diet, nutrition and exercise) and empower them to make a positive contribution to society
o Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers
To be successful within this role we are seeking people that have a good understanding of challenges faced by people with learning difficulties, autism and mental health conditions would be advantageous, as would Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care.

You would also need to be reliable, honest, caring, dedicated, and flexible and work on a rota basis to include bank holidays, weekends, and sleep- ins. In addition, we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated staff to support our service users in all areas of their everyday living skills and daily activities - all in a person-centred way.
