Job Description

We have a new exciting role as a Court Usher within the public sector based at Ipswich Crown Court. This is a full-time position working 37 hours a week Monday - Friday.

The rate of pay is £9.50 an hour rising to £10.32 after a 12-week period.

This role will include, but not be restricted to:
- Setting up the court rooms
- Assisting the Court Clerks, Judiciary and general office with court processes
- Greeting and signing in members of the public
- Ensuring the smooth running of the court on a daily basis


The ideal candidate will be confident with public speaking, have good communication skills, great customer service, be organised and also a team player. This is vital as you will be dealing with members of the public who may be anxious, distressed or troubled during their court visits.

This role is temporary with an end date of the start of February however likely to extend.

If successful, you will be required to show either your Passport or Birth certificate, 2 proofs of address and proof of national insurance. We would also need to complete an Enhanced DBS check for you.
