Job Description

My client has a small group of care homes operating in West and East Sussex. They are currently looking for an experienced CQC Registered Manager for their residential home in Worthing, West Sussex.

My client has been in business since 2004, with the aspiration of changing culture within the field of learning disabilities, dementia and elderly care. This was achieved by recruiting an expert team who have developed their knowledge and skills by working alongside other related community organisations and utilising and implementing up to date research, to deliver best practice and an innovative and personalised care package for each person. This has enabled individuals in the homes to continue to lead fulfilling and happy lives with a focus on what an individual can achieve rather than what they can no longer do. `This is the foundation of personal centred care`.

The ideal candidate will be able to:
Follow the instructions and policies set by the Director and the Area Manager and implement the requirements of the Health and Social care Act 2014 and Mental capacity Act 2005 (where applicable).
Manage the day-to-day of the home in a manner that will not bring the residents or home into dispute either with resident`s families or regulatory bodies.
Ensure all staff members have adequate training to fulfil their roles in accordance to the Health and Social Care Act 2014.
Ensure that a high standard of care is always maintained and that the service complies with CQC regulations.

You will be responsible for the following:
Ensuring that there is always a staff member available and qualified to administer medication.
Ensure that all residents are registered with GP's and Dentists, and that appointments are booked in advance.
Carry out Health & Safety Risk Assessments for all internal and external areas at the specified intervals as determined by the Risk Assessment Policy and Procedure.
Ensure fire training and fire records are up to date and ready for inspection from the fire office at any time.
