Job Description

** Crisis Support Worker **
** Preston, Lancashire **
** Minimum salary of £20,930 **
** £11.50 per hour **
** Earlies, Lates and weekends - minimum of 2 sleeps per week at £70 each **
** Full time with overtime available **
** To work within children's emotional and behavioural residential homes across Lancashire **

BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a well establish care company who care for children and young people via their residential homes. The children within these services have experienced sometimes traumatic starts to life which therefore requires very complex care and therapy which you can be a part of. We are looking for resilience and hardworking candidates who have a `get up and go` attitude, who are passionate about the work they produce and want to be within this role for the right reasons. This role can be incredibly demanding and challenging; however, it is also a line of work that gives great job satisfaction and can really allow you to make changes within people's lives.

About the employer; they pride themselves in providing the right care, just when it is needed by Local Authorities, Youth Offending Teams and Emergency Out of Hours Services.

About the job; this role is to support the children and young people within residential homes across Lancashire. This service cares for 8 years - 18 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties alongside autism, ADHD and some transitioning from care. You will use the work vehicle to go to and from different residential homes to support the needs of the children when required.

About the ideal candidate; it is essential you are a driver and have the ability to drive, ideally you will have your Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People`s Workforce or willing to complete, have the ability to participate in a range of activities with enthusiasm, have the ability to form positive working relationships with parents and outside agencies, have the ability to become an integral part of a team, hold good communication skills, have high levels of resilience, have the ability to build positive relationships with children and young people, have the ability to maintain professional standards at all times, have the ability to support young peoples in their daily routines in a variety of settings, have the ability to cope with a flexible working hours and to be available for sleep-in duties if required.

This role requires lots of resilience, lots of travelling, lots of motivation and lots of passion to do the job well.

This is a permanent and full-time role paying £20,930 with an addition of £7280 for a minimum of 2 sleeps per week and a minimum of 35 hour contract, with overtime always available, alongside company paid health scheme that allows you to claim back the cost of your routine dental and opticians appointments as well as the cost of some prescriptions. Pension scheme, Life Insurance and carer progression to become a Senior, to Team Leader to Registered Manager earning an excellent salary package.
