On behalf of an innovative and reputable mental health provider, I am seeking a crisis support worker to work in their crisis non-referral service in Canterbury.
You will be required to work 20 hours per week, on a rolling rota, to include weekends and bank holidays, as the service offers specialised, focused support 365 days a year.
Working closely with an established team, you will provide crisis de-escalation and reduce immediate distress for the people using this service. You will be responsible for providing crisis prevention for visitors and their families, who are accessing the service, as well as signposting into other services.
You will work in collaboration with external agencies, such as GPs, mental health crisis teams, A and E, police and other partners, whilst being responsible for administrative tasks and successfully managing your own caseloads.
To be successfully considered for the crisis support worker role, you must:
* Be educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in health and social care
* Have experience, whether it be in a lived or professional capacity, of mental health issues
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, and display warmth and empathy
