Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a local charity provider with over 150 years` experience. This provider offers safe, secure, affordable, and well-maintained independent living accommodation, residential care and extra care housing for adults in their older age.

My Client are currently looking for DAY PART TIME 21 HOURS Care Assistants to support people in a residential setting. The service is 36 bed good, rated service and supports those elderly adults with personal care, meal times, dressing and bathing and other needs. The service supports those with dementia and Parkinson`s disease.

This is a fantastic role for someone who as a kind, caring and compassionate nature. You don`t necessary need experience within care but you do need to be someone that will listen and support vulnerable adults. Someone that can enquiry about someone`s wellbeing without judgement and most of all someone who is honest, fun and offers a person-centred approach to support and care.

This role will include but not be limited to:

To assist residents who need to help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and toileting.

To assist residents who need help with getting to bed at night, undressing, washing etc.

To carry out regular checks at night on all residents to ensure their health and safety.

To be responsible for ensuring that checks of the building are carried out making sure exits are secure at night.

To help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence, help in use of care of aids and personal equipment.

To care for residents who are temporarily sick and needing, for example, minor dressings and bed nursing.
