BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Registered Staff Nurse within a nursing/residential home in Daventry, Northamptonshire. You will be working with elderly, Mental Health, Strokes and Physical Disabilities paying £17ph/ £29,172.

About the employer; this organisation is in an easily accessible location, close to the town centre and bus services with onsite parking and supermarkets close by with 40 being max capacity for residents, however is currently being refurbished and will increase. The home is partly under new management that have implemented new procedures that has made a huge difference to the home in a short time period and their CQC rating improving with comments such as; `Relatives could see the improvements that had been made over the last several months and felt their loved ones were cared for safely and their health needs were being met` within the report. They are looking for Staff Nurses that hold the passion the team shares for giving great care and creating a person centred service.

About the job; your role is to monitor and administrate medication, wound care and care plans. Carrying out assessments and planning and reviewing care to make changes when needed. Help with the managing of staff and have the understanding on who can help with clinical situations to ensure it is done correctly. You will be confident in using the bespoke care management systems and use electric prescriptions for medication ordering. You will also have/contribute to a weekly handover per resident with info such as dietary, allergies, meds ect and you will be responsible for creating a handover for the night Nurse as handovers are Nurse to Nurse. You will have credibility and responsibility throughout your role.

About the ideal candidate; it is essential that you are an experienced RGN or RMN and hold an NMC pin, it is ideal that you have experience within a nursing/elderly or Dementia service. You will need to be open to suggestions and contribute to new ideas that will continually improve the service and be able to deal with strong personalities and ideas. You will need excellent communication skills between the team and with the management and be able to use online systems after induction. We are looking for a team player who has a high passion for giving good care and who will work well with the Home Manager and Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead.

For this permanent role working 33 hours per week, working hours are 8am-8pm which will be x3 12-hour shifts including breaks per week including weekends. You will be offered £17ph/ £29,172 per year. Benefits will be confirmed at interview stage and holiday allowance is 5.8 weeks per year.
