Job Description

Deputy Care Manager

Powys

Up to £26,500

We are working with a much valued client who are currently recruiting for a Deputy Manager for their service based in Brecon, Powys.

They provide support to children within a residential setting and there is also a school on site.

Within this role you will be providing support the Home Manger to develop a culture that drives quality and continuous improvement. Assisting the manager to ensure the Home improvement plan is being followed and evidenced and progress is demonstrated. You will also ensure all staff in the home are compliant with QCF completion as per the companies statement of purpose.

You will promote the individual's health and well-being and ensure that they are always safeguarded and provide the individuals in the home to be involved in their own meetings giving them the opportunity to have their voice.

You will lead and supervise Team leaders in conjunction with the home manager and assist in the timely completion of supervision and appraisals for all staff as per the Organisations supervision policy.

Continually monitor and actively reduce the staff absence for the home in line with the organisations policies and procedures and ensure there is a reduction of agency usage in the home and this is continually monitored.

We are looking for someone who has experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.

  • Holds or be working towards the QCF level 5.
  • Knowledge of RISCA and ensure inspection documentation and records comply with operational standards and statutory regulations and guidance.
  • Ability to collate, analyse and share data with own team and professionals.
