Deputy Care Manager
We are currently working with a long standing client who are in need of a Deputy Manager for their residential home based in Swansea.
The service in based on the Swasnea Bay Coastline, it has a state of the art specialist school on site that provides support and education to children with Learning Disabilities and Autism.
Within this role, you will be supporting the Home Manger to develop a culture that drives quality and continuous improvement and lead staff team meetings to ensure the staff have clear direction and opportunity to participate in the running of the home.
You will improve the quality of life of the individuals in the home by embedding the Positive Behaviour Support framework and active support model in the home, improve the outcomes of all individuals by measuring their success against their targets set from person centred planning meetings and their care and treatment plan.
You will support the manager when completing initial assessments and attend all Pre admission meetings for the home and promote the individual's health and well-being and ensure that they are always safeguarded.
Assist in the timely completion of supervision and appraisals for all staff as per the Organisations supervision policy and help co-ordinate the homes recruitment process and lead interviews for new staff.
The ideal candidate we are looking for will have:
Experience of leading a team of staff who support people with learning disabilities and/or ASC and Challenging Behaviour.
To hold or be working towards the QCF level 5
