Children's Home Deputy Manager

We are working in partnership with a wonderful client, who provides residential support to children and young people in Swansea.

This is a full time role working 39 Hours per week plus a sleep in or 51 hours plus one sleep in.

The children and young people that reside in the service often display challenging behaviours triggered by their past trauma and backgrounds. A key area of the role for staff to be able to effectively support young people is to gain a sound understanding of the child or young person in order to provide effective strategies in managing these behaviours.

You will be required to carry out tasks which help maintain the smooth running of the home such as checking petty cash, medication, house meetings, cleanliness of the home is to a good standard, health and safety checks are being completed, mentor staff and cover any shifts needed for that week.

Support young people when transitioning on to the next phase of support, for example moving on to independent living or semi-independent support.


What we are looking for in a candidate;

• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Hold a level 3 in Health and Social Care - Children and Young People (or in the process of completing)
• Experience of working with young people
• Ability to take part in on-call rota
