Job Description

** Deputy Childrens EBD Home Manager **
** Northampton, Northamptonshire **
** £22,500 - £24,500 **
** Permanent and full time **
** Working varied shifts such as 9am - 5pm / 12pm - 10pm ect **
** Based with a 3 bedded EBD home **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Deputy Childrens Home Manager to work in a small 3 bedded home caring for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties aged 7 yrs - 17 yrs old. This role is within a residential setting.

Emotional and behavioural difficulties
Learning difficulties
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Complex needs (Solo/dual placement homes)

About the job;
To ensure that the team provides the highest quality care and therapeutic support to the young people at the Home. To work to the principles and policies of the company. To respond to the requirements and expectations of Registering and Placing Authorities. To take charge of the management of the home and/or undertake other appropriate management duties, as delegated by, or in the absence of, the Registered Manager.
To participates fully in the rota as part of the care team.
To include: care and domestic duties, accompanying young people to school and supporting them during the day as part of the team, night time sleeping-in duties.
To supervise and supports young people in accordance with their personal plans and the policies of the company.
To act as key worker for one young person, including responsibility for: co-ordinating the achievement of his/her personal plan, providing any necessary support, acting as internal advocate.
To provide support within education, including: promoting the integration of care and education, acting as Support Worker within the education setting as required, acting as the daily link between education staff and care setting.
To work with and manages difficult behaviour, enabling young people to develop from needing external control, to exercising self-control.
To organise and participates in appropriate activities, play and recreation for the young people.
To work with families of young people as appropriate.
To carry out regular, timetabled sleep-in duties.

About the ideal candidate; for this role, we are ideally looking for candidates who have good experience of working within a children's EBD residential home. You can be a strong Senior looking to take a step up, or a current Deputy looking for a different opportunity.
