Deputy Manager

Job Description

I am actively recruiting for a competent, professional and highly experienced deputy manager to join an "OUTSTANDING" residential service for older adults in South Birmingham.

You will become a key member of the management team for a longstanding, well respected service which provides person centred residential care and support for older adults, some of whom may have a dementia diagnosis.

Employed on a full time basis, you will work closely with an experienced registered manager and be fully committed to providing a service which is responsive, well led and most importantly, focuses on the needs of the individuals who reside here.

You will deputise for the manager in their absence and hold responsibility for a team of care and support staff. Care and support planning, referrals, report writing and audits will be part of your role, as will maintaining resident's health and well being, administering medication and sharing on call responsibilities.

This is the perfect opportunity for a skilled candidate who can demonstrate proven shift leading/supervisory experience within a good or outstanding rated elderly residential setting.

You will also hold a relevant care qualification (QCF 4 in health and social care or above), up to date medication training and have excellent CQC knowledge and experience.

In return, you will receive a competitive salary in the region of £23000 per annum, generous annual leave allowance and on going training and development.
