Job Description

Deputy Children's Manager

Bury

£22,000 - £25,000 per annum

40 hours a week

Are you an experienced deputy manager in a children's residential or senior with proven managerial experience? Do you have a level 3 in children and young people? Are you a driver? If so we want to hear from you! A fantastic opportunity has arisen for someone to join a well-respected company in one of their homes as the deputy manager.

The home is situated in Bury, it has 10 beds and provides well needed support for children aged from 4-12 who have experienced trauma or have mental health problems such as EBD. You will be responsible for looking after the children and staff. There will be an emphasis on you mentoring the senior support workers.

You will be responsible for supervisions, rotas, safeguarding and policies and the well-being of your team. You will also be required to directly assist the registered manager and fill in when they are on leave or away. This is for 40 hours a week and you will be required to do one 24 hour shift a week and the rest will be 9-5 shifts. It is a 24-hours service, so you will be on a rota to work weekends also.
You will be at the heart of delivering the highest quality care to some of the most vulnerable young people, so your work is invaluable, and no two days will be the same. You will be caring, compassionate and resilient and be driven to make a positive impact! You will understand OFSTED ratings and care standards.

You must have a level 3 in children's and young people and either have or be willing to work towards a level 5 qualification in health and social care management. You must have a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle and it is essential you have experience in working in a children's residential setting.

In reward for your hard-work and dedication you will receive a generous salary, pension scheme, holidays, free-parking, vouchers and excellent progression opportunities.

This is a fantastic opportunity and will not be around for long, so we would encourage early applications to avoid disappointment. Please note only candidates with the relevant skills and experience and essential criteria will be contacted. If you have not heard anything within 7 working days please assume your application has been unsuccessful. You can apply online or email or ring 0161 228 6168 to discuss further.
