Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Manager - Dementia and Mental Health Service
Location: Gainsborough
Salary: £30,000 to £36,000


Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Manager to join our team. You will be joining a leading provider of dementia and mental health services. As the Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality of care and support for individuals living with dementia and mental health conditions. This position involves both administrative and hands-on responsibilities, with a focus on leadership, staff supervision, and program development.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and support to a team of healthcare professionals.
Ensure that care plans are tailored to the unique needs of each resident.
Monitor and assess the mental and emotional well-being of residents, making necessary adjustments to care plans.
Implement best practices in dementia and mental health care.
Recruit, train, and supervise care staff, ensuring they are competent and compassionate in their roles.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Collaborate with the Manager to develop and implement innovative care programs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in dementia and mental health care.
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
Establish strong relationships with residents and their families, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly.
Organize and facilitate family support groups and educational sessions.


To be successful within this role you must have deputy management or team leading experience in a social care setting. You must be able to manage the service alongside the RM and other deputy managers and you must be knowledgeable in CQC. Due to the location of this site you must also be a driver.


For your hard work and commitment there will be an opportunity for you to complete any NVQ that you wish and the opportunity for you to complete your NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management. You will also get a salary of up to £36,000 and get healthcare benefits, pension benefits as well as a favourable annual leave allowance.
