Job Description

I am working in partnership with an established children's residential provider to recruit an experienced Deputy manager to join a 4 bed children's residential setting located in Worcestershire.

This service offers great facilities and is truly focused to developing choice and independent living skills for the young people they are supporting.

As deputy manager of this well respected, established service:

-You will be working in conjunction with the home manager, deputising in their absence

-You will be responsible for rotas

- You will deliver Person centred care and support

- Assist with producing and amending care plans

- You will actively promote choice, independence and social and emotional well being

- All care you deliver will be in line with OFSTED and company guidelines and procedures

To be a successful deputy manager with this forward-thinking organisation, you will be able to successfully demonstrate team management experience within a similar setting and have previously secured experience supporting children and young people with EBD and challenging behaviours in a residential home setting.

A level 3 qualification in children and young people's services is essential for this vacancy, as is a full manual driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Due to the nature of this role, you will be flexible to share the on-call rota and be able to commit to several sleep ins per month.

The successful deputy manager will receive a salary circa £25000 per annum inclusive of an average of 8 sleep ins per month, as well as the opportunity to secure overtime, as and when available. Continued training and development, as well as exciting internal progression opportunities are also available with this role.

I am looking to move relatively quickly on filling this vacancy, so rather than miss out, why don't you apply online or forward your CV via email today.

Alternatively, you can contact me on 0121 633 3123 between the hours of 9am and 530pm to discuss the deputy manager job role and a possible interview.
