Job Description

I am seeking a part time deputy manager to join a highly respected mental health charity at one of their established mental health recovery settings on the Walsall/Staffordshire borders.

You will become a key member of the management team for an organisation that boasts a significant and successful history within the mental health sector.

Based within a medium sized recovery setting, you will work closely with an established registered manager and team of recovery workers and be employed on a 22.5 hour contract.

You will ensure the effective and safe running of the service, and be responsible for maintaining standards and quality care. The promotion of a recovery focused environment, leading on activities for the service and supporting with relapse management will form part of your deputy management role.

A compassionate, understanding and person-centred individual, you will be committed to making a difference to the lives of the people you support and will maintain a calm and confident approach to dealing with issues.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will:

1. Hold a level 3 in health and social care and be committed to completing the level 5 in leadership and management

2. Be able to demonstrate experience within a residential or day service setting, supporting adults with a mental health diagnosis and/or a learning disability diagnosis

3. Have experience as a senior support worker, team leader, deputy manager or equivalent in a healthcare setting
