Job title: EDI Practitioner (equality, diversity, and inclusion)
Location: Manchester office/Working from home
Hours: 37 hours a week Monday to Friday
Contract: 12 months`
Pay: £16.52
Job summary:
We are embarking on a new, exciting phase of our equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) journey, and we are looking for someone who can help us establish and embed best-practice EDI into everything we do. The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner will be a key member of the Engagement and Development team, providing expertise and practical support in a range of areas relating to EDI. The role will support a variety of established and emerging projects aligned to our organisational workforce EDI objectives, our Annual EDI Plan 2022/23, and a new, high-profile cross-organisational culture change programme.
Duties:
" Operating as an internal expert, advising people managers and staff on a wide range of workplace EDI issues
" Working with colleagues across the HR team to develop our approach to inclusive recruitment, including the development of our Inclusive Recruitment Volunteer Scheme to support more diverse interview panels
" Establishing and improving processes to support improved accessibility and equality of opportunity, including workforce Equality Impact Assessments (EIA), and workplace place reasonable adjustments
" Supporting a broad range of activity which aims to embed best-practice EDI across all our learning and development offers, our health and wellbeing portfolio, staff engagement activity, and emerging work to support hybrid working
" Managing, developing, and delivering a variety of positive action staff development offers and projects, including an in-house Shadowing Meetings Scheme, and Reciprocal Mentoring Scheme, for Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff
" Supporting with the commissioning, design, development, and delivery of a range of new EDI training/ development offers (for senior leaders, managers, and all staff)
" Supporting the design and delivery of EDI activity which supports NICE`s new cross-organisation culture change programme
Essential:
" Educated to postgraduate degree level in a relevant subject (such as equality, diversity and inclusion, organisational development, psychology,), or equivalent level of experience working in a similar role
" Evidence of continued professional development
