Job Description

We have a fantastic permanent opportunity working for a national charity based in county Durham, as an employment recovery worker.

We currently have 2 full time (37.5 hours) and 1 part time (26 hours) posts available.


You will be supporting vulnerable adults in the community who have mental health conditions that need support to gain employment.

You will have a proven background working within mental health and supporting with employment and must be able to travel around the county Durham area. You will also need to be supportive, motivating, engaging and encouraging.


You will have a caseload of 20 for the full-time post (pro rata`d down for the part time post) you will work from home as laptop and mobile phone will be given to you. you will need to go and meet with your vulnerable adults out in the community either at the library, job centre, coffee shop etc. and support them with all aspects of job searching. You will support with the filling of applications, interview prep, advise support, CV writing or updating, training, volunteering, placements etc…



This is a very fulfilling role and the hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm full time (pro rata`d for part time)
