Executive Officer
Glasgow
Hybrid role
Temporary assignment - Full time
£12.88 ph

Brook Street are working in partnership with the Home Office to find them 2 x EO to work in the Third Country returns function under the Inadmissibility Policy.

The EO Progression role includes, but is not limited to the following:

" Maintain own and case workers focus on limited timescale to progress cases to conclusions. Working with other areas of the business to ensure progress is managed timely
" Undertake assessment of new cases to determine suitability for progression under the Inadmissibility Policy
" Provide technical support and advice to progression case owners within area of expertise
" Where appropriate challenge member state rejections
" Liaise with internal and external stakeholders when required to facilitate the progression of cases towards detention and removal
" Liaising with other directorates to ensure that complex cases such as family returns and deportation cases are actioned within appropriate timescales
" Develop specialist knowledge of legislation and policy and escalate more complex issues
" Work positively with stakeholders and corporate partners when representing the Home Office
" Adhere to the Home Office obligations to safeguard children and vulnerable people
" Proactively manage professional development in partnership with your line management.
" Work closely with the Central Barrier Team to reduce/mitigate against any barriers that may delay/prevent return
" Ensure that all relevant local and national databases are completed and updated accurately and in a timely manner
" Assist with distribution and management of cases within business area
" Maintain focus on unit performance by providing weekly productivity/activity information to area HEO
" Engage in ongoing learning and development within role
" Any other duties as directed and agreed by HEO/SEO which support overall delivery of unit priorities
" Management responsibilities are a requirement in this role
