BS Social Care are recruiting for 2x experienced support worker positions based with a housing and support provider in the Birkenhead area.

The client we are recruiting for is a reputable organisation that provides housing and general support to adults and young people with a variety of needs such as homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol addiction and offending.

In this role you will be working with young people around a variety of projects scattered throughout the Birkenhead area providing support to young people aged 16-25 years with a variety of complex needs. The role will require you to manage a number of different caseloads and using knowledge and experience providing the appropriate support needed for each individual.

We would ideally be looking for someone who has worked in the housing/hostel sector who has experience understanding the needs of young people and has knowledge of the benefits system. The successful applicant will be a confident and resilient individual with the ability to make informed decisions independently.

Any qualifications within this sector such as a Level 2 NVQ will be beneficial and you would need to have computer literacy as some report writing would be involved.

The hours for this role are 40 hours a week and this is based on a rolling rota of 4 days on and 4 days off. The salary is £18000-£19000 per year based on experience.
