Job Description

A leading care provider in the UK is currently recruiting for an Extra Care Registered Manager to manage 2 extra care schemes based in Slough for older people.
The company is a non-for-profit organisation which provides high quality person-centred support to people with mental, physical and learning disabilities

You will match staff to clients, taking account of their needs, preferences, interests and lifestyle. You will ensure that clients with complex needs have a Key Worker with the appropriate skills and personal qualities. You will promote awareness of the service and respond to enquiries and referrals. You will also undertake need and risk assessments to fill bed vacancies

Your eye for detail and leadership ability will enable you to manage the service effectively and ensure quality and compliance. You are a team player that can network effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, whilst promoting and achieving good CQC standards. Your friendly and flexible approach will help in meeting the needs of the clients. You will partner with housing providers and families to promote a positive atmosphere with the schemes and encourage social activities on site and connections with the wider community.

Candidate must haves would be:
*Significant management experience within older people services
*Ability to assess needs and devise and implement outcome focused care and support plans.
*Willingness to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to listen sensitively to others.
A desirable would be:
*A relevant professional qualification (e.g. Diploma in Social Work, RMN/RGN, NVQ 4/5)
